Robbie Allen | Founder
Robbie is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and mentor known for his positive outlook on life. He founded The Thriving Box Co. in March 2020. When he's not clanging and banging in the weight room, Robbie, loves to spend time exploring and taking his young family on new adventures. He enjoys good food and taking long walks in the summer, likely conjuring up his next business idea.
Holly Allen | Founder
Some might say she’s the brains behind the whole operation. Holly works closely with our partners to organise products and stock for corporate orders. She keeps the team happy and somehow maintains a handle on Robbie’s many entrepreneurial ideas. As a mum of two small children with (another) career as a child counsellor, Holly is the ultimate multitasker. In her spare time she’ll most likely be working out on her Peloton or relaxing with a coffee and a doughnut.
Kirsty Scott | Operations Director
Kirsty’s been here from the beginning. She started packing boxes in Holly & Robbie’s house, then woke up one day (3 months later) and was managing the warehouse. She oversees the packing of orders and ensures boxes get to their destinations safe and sound! She also creates exciting content for the website and dabbles in marketing. When she’s not obsessing over shipping costs you can find her jumping in the sea or planning her next travel adventure.
Lewis MacSporran | Creative Director
Lewis started his journey with The Thriving Box Co. as a delivery driver. We soon discovered Lewis’ creative talent and put that to use marketing our boxes online. With a passion for photography, product images and videos naturally became his focus. He’s currently leading the sales team and ensuring our customer journey is as smooth as possible. Other than closing deals left, right and centre, Lewis enjoys getting lost in nature and exploring the highlands and islands of Scotland.
Guy Wardrop | Sales Executive
Guy’s Thriving Box Co. adventure began delivering hampers to our friends in Edinburgh & the Lothians. As we grew, he transitioned from driving boxes to selling boxes - a role which is always bringing exciting new challenges. When he’s not on the phone chatting about our premium gift boxes, you can likely find him distilling gin or indulging in some fine Deliveroo cuisine.
Joanna Burns | Operations Assistant
Joanna started with us in September 2020 as a delivery driver (yes, we know there's a theme), zooming about Edinburgh dropping off boxes on people’s doorsteps. She moved to helping out with the day to day packing of boxes in the warehouse and working with our local business partners to order stock. When she’s not packing boxes, she spends most of her time watching rubbish TV, running a Rainbows unit for Girlguiding Scotland and trying to talk to everyone about feminism.
Steven Turnbull | Head of Finance
Steven is qualified as both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and oversees the accounting and taxation function of the company. With a passion for tattoos, working out, travelling and an active dislike for golf, Steven is not your stereotypical accountant. A father to two, during his limited downtime Steven likes nothing more than a glass of red wine and a good movie with the family, or watching sports, other than golf of course.
